// the brief

A practice whose output is spatial and whose marketing is flat. The identity has to work on a construction document, a site hoarding, a material sample, and a screen — and has to hold together when the studio's own work is the loudest thing in the frame.

// the approach
  1. 01

    Draw the mark like a plan

    The logo suite is constructed on a modular grid with the discipline of a drawing set: fixed increments, consistent stroke weight, and size-specific variants that are genuine reconstructions rather than scaled copies.

  2. 02

    Colour as material, not trend

    The palette derives from material — concrete, oxidised metal, timber — so the brand sits inside the studio's own photography instead of fighting it.

  3. 03

    A system for two registers

    Client-facing collateral and technical documentation are different registers of one system. Both are specified, so that drawing sets stop looking as though they came from a different firm.

  4. 04

    Standards that anticipate fabrication

    Signage and physical application are specified alongside screen use, including minimum legible size at distance and single-colour reproduction for cut vinyl and etched metal.
